Cooler Cleaning Info
A neglected water cooler can affect the taste of the clear, clean water that you put in it. Be sure to have your cooler cleaned and sanitized every 6-12 months to help prevent potential problems.
Keep the bottle puncture assembly clean by removing and washing it regularly. When the puncture assembly is removed check it for a slippery feel that could indicate the beginning of a mild bacterial build up. This will also let you look into the reservoir to detect any contaminating particles. The taps should be wiped off frequently since dirty hands or contact by a pet can contaminate your cooler.
